You're certainly right about this being repeated in franchise after franchise after franchise. Certainly there's no question about quantity being pursued at the expense of quality. And it seems to be catching up with them now-making a good many films and series that were once special a lot less so.

Still, as the SW shows indicate Disney knew its plans for theatrical release weren't working out, and so emphasized streaming, but now the studios are backing away from their earlier, frantic content creation for their streaming services (because they've learned the hard way the money isn't there, because they're carrying massive debt now, because interest rates are rising, etc.). Disney, I think, may get more cautious here too, but that's as far as my speculation on this point goes for now.
